In researching saving the J.T. Oswald Mortuary, we found that the San Fernando Valley and especially Studio City, Valley Village and the Cahuenga Pass/North Hollywood formed around farms that made way to progress.

After 1948, the Chung family was able to buy land that might once have belonged to local tribes and Lankershim became North Hollywood.

Asparagus farming was not working out and the rest is Criminology history. Whether you look at the Valley from the 1790's to the 1950's or from the 1960's forward, our programs would never have been possible had not the federal register and the census changed re: what we need from our graduates and what we need to be lifelong learners.

This October, because of overcrowding, we were asked to provide a building for No Child Left behind services for our new programs planned to support achievements expected from the John Corcoran Foundation programs. Under the California Department of Education and the District, we were short a facillity to provide training for children, youth, and teachers.

We found one that we have named the Good Shepherd "Arts Sanctuary at the Crossroads". On the sponsor page you will see a picture of the building and see ways that you could underwrite programs or you will in the future lease rooms in advance or offices to help us acquire another building, refurbish it and offer services. Take a look at the possibilities. We will post a survey about future available offices, room rental rates, and participation. The Mortuary was torn down at the beginning of the year and we began to offer workshops at the Magdalene Center and work in Woodland Hills.. We are still working on a center and would like to correspond. We look forward to hearing from you about your needs.

Write us at 14431 Ventura Blvd #312, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423 about 2007-2009 and your work..

Los Angeles formed around its rivers which ran to the ocean and provided sustenance leading to a healthy lifestyle and great wealth.

Once linked to the Mars Millennium Project, our teachers have spanned time and space to accelerate language arts and academics. A 2005-2007 partner in NCLB and earlier the U.S.D.O.E.'s first national science, arts and technology initiative, our after school enrichment program was launched in 76 LAUSD school auditoriums. By framing language arts in interactivity,Kenneth Grahame's famous animal classic brings history, wordplay, and music alive. Through storytelling alligned to nature, the LA River, through roleplay and imagination can turn into a direct personal experience. The result: a dynamic learning experience that challenges children to risk creating and dreaming about a positive community that includes nature now and new programs for parents, teachers, and youth. Click on Stream to Sea to see the Mountain's Restoration Trust's Annual community gathering, last Earth Day.
